About the event
WALK & DRAW with Annie Murdock and Ralph Nel @_annie_murdock_ @findingthestillpoint
THEME: See change: a quiet rebellion
In conjunction with Maketank’s group exhibition RE:WILD, join artists Annie Murdock and Ralph Nel for a contemplative ramble into central Exeter’s Lower Hoopern Valley, an urban wildlife site, where we will ground ourselves through movement meditation beneath ancient oaks, and experience the collaborative act of drawing with nature using the age-old technique of silverpoint sketching. Through embodied awareness, sensorial walking, and co-creation with the process of oxidation, we invite participants to adjust to the pace of nature and approach the walk as a transformative journey by which we might move beyond the mundane and towards a sense of wonderment and presence.
