About the event
Choreographer and Artistic Director, Richard Chappell leads a free workshop for dancers and visual artists at MakeTank, Exeter on the 18 September.
Exploring Richard Chappell Dance’s unique approach to combining visual arts and contemporary dance through interdisciplinary collaboration, Richard will lead a physical warm up to start the day followed by a creative breakdown of tasks undertaken through his collaboration with sculptor Anna Gillespie. There will then be space for local artists to connect together and explore potential new routes to spark collaborations between visual artists and dancers.
Suitable for local dancers aged 16+ and visual artists who have an interest in interdisciplinary collaboration. For local visual artists, we encourage people to bring examples of their work either digitally or in person (if practical) for you to explore with throughout the day. Should you have any queries about this, please email saoirse@richardchappelldance.co.uk.
