About the event
This workshop will cover an introduction to screendance with acclaimed theatremaker, director and choreographer Madeline Shann ( https://www.madelineshann.co.uk/about ). While conversation and questions about creating dance for screen is encouraged, the aim of this two hour workshop is to explore practical tasks that will help us all learn the basics of camera work and how to creatively capture the moving body for the screen.
Participants are invited to stay after for the screening of The Spring and the follow-on Q&A to discuss the practicalities and logistics of film-making including planning, shooting on location and post-production.
At the request of the artist, to make this event as safe and inclusive as possible, participants are encouraged to take a lateral flow test before participating in the workshop, and must not attend if they have any flu-like symptoms. The wearing of face-coverings would be appreciated.
Please note: while you book a place via email, this is a 'Pay What You Decide' workshop.
