About the event
A 3 week course exploring the simple potency of rhythm...
-About this event
*Let's open up the space and rest into our common ground
*The spaces between the beats of the rhythm are like the spaces between the trees of the forest, the spaces between the stars
*When we enter into the landscape of rhythm we find ourselves and each other
Join Shumba Arts for 3 weeks exploring rhythm through percussion, body and voice. We'll draw on the intelligence of rhythmic traditions from Africa, and what is alive within us, to create movement and soundscapes that arise within and express the present moment, allowing our wild indigenous selves to be at play together
With support from the national lottery community fund, we are able to offer heavily subsidised and free places on this short course. We really understand that finances can be stretched in these times.
Please get in touch if you'd like a free place on this course.
Please note, this is a 3 week course. There is no class on the 2nd February.
