About the event

Join Lizzy Humber (Mothers Who Make Exeter) for Mothers on the Mic - a revolutionary and relaxed performance space in Exeter with the mother of all line-ups. There will be an exciting headline set from the award winning poet/mother Fiona Benson and support from Alt-Folk artist /mother Holly Ebony. Local m/other artists will also share songs and poetry.
The platform is an opportunity for local artists who are m/others to have their voices amplified and offer development opportunities that support their caring roles. Expect a relaxed and lively space, where children are welcome alongside too. There will be toys, mats and a supportive environment. You do not have to be a parent/carer to enjoy this. Everyone is welcome!
Buggy Access: This venue has street level access. There will be a small buggy park in the space.
Facilities: We will have a baby changing area in the space so you don’t need to miss a thing. Please note there is no ground floor toilets and no lift at this venue. Toilets are located on the third floor via the stairs to the rear. There is an accessible toilet in John Lewis or if you are visiting The Baby Room or Kids Hub beforehand.
For other access need or questions please get in touch for advice.
About: Mothers on the Mic is produced by Lizzy Humber (Mother, Independent Arts Producer and Community Arts Facilitator) and supported by MakeTank and Arts Council England.
