About the event

To kindle connections, conversations, a spirited sense of creative community, Maketank is launching monthly Kino Kabinet events led by Caroline Mawdsley and John Sealy. Mixing film, music, conversations and drinks we hope to spark a sense of belonging and relating. On Friday 04 March 7:30-9pm we will be screening two short films: //Fauve - Jeremy Comte - 17mins - Set in a surface mine, two boys sink into a seemingly innocent power game with Mother Nature as the sole observer. / Two young boys in an open-pit mine engage in a seemingly innocent but unhealthy power game which soon spirals out of their control. //Incident by a bank - Ruben Östlund - 12mins - Documenting the eyewitness account of a botched bank robbery. Perplexed bystanders watch as the drama unfolds in front of them./ Incident by a bank is a detailed account of a failed bank robbery: A single take where over 90 people perform a meticulous choreography for the camera. The film recreates an actual event that took place in Stockholm in June 2006.
