About the event

Viv is a CSA Survivor Artist Activist and Artistic Director of Viv Gordon Company CIC. Her work is a creative social justice campaign to nurture voice, visibility, community and leadership alongside other adult survivors of child sex abuse. Viv aims to make bold, punky, kick ass work that supports narrative and systems change, celebrates survivors' strengths and inherent creativity and empowers us to take up cultural space. Her artistic practice is a reclamation of play and doing things that feel impossible or that she's never done before.

Current projects include: Cutting Out, a theatre show and campaign to develop a national memorial bearing witness to the 11 million adult CSA survivors in the UK; Restless, a creative walking project using coastal landscapes to talk about survivor journeys; Plain Sight, a creative research project designed to challenge harmful attitudes that exist in society about adult survivors of child sexual abuse and Upfront Survivors, a survivor-led project to enhance survivor leadership, create visible survivor communities and provide creative support and outlets to survivors of child sexual abuse. Viv consults, trains and mentors artists and organisations nationally in mental health access and inclusion.
